We love our guest teachers!

Meet Sarah

I began my yoga journey in 2020, when the world shut down. I was also going through a divorce and feeling as if my world was spinning out of control. Yoga gave me a place to be present, to breathe, and to find strength I didn’t know I had. That experience shapes how I teach, my classes are a space to build physical strength while finding balance and peace within yourself. Off the mat, I’m a mom to two teenage boys, who are growing up way too fast, my fur baby Athena, who is also growing up way too fast, a photographer, a singer, a musician, and someone who loves trying new things. Before photography, I was a special education teacher. After 10 years, I've felt the calling to return to the classroom and will begin this journey in August. I’m really grateful to be a part of the yoga community. Meeting new people, learning from each other, and sharing experiences together brings me true joy!

Meet Rachel

Rachel is eternally curious about the balance between body, mind, and soul in all forms. While she is a lifelong student of exploring this Divinity, she has been practicing yoga regularly since moving to Richmond in 2021. Her yoga journey is rooted in the natural world, art and meditation, and was nurtured through a retreat with 3S and the Andean School of Yoga in The Sacred Valley of Peru. Rachel is a 200hr registered yoga teacher. She currently works at the American Society of Plant Biologists. Previously, she worked as the Director of Player Development for the VCU Women's Soccer Team and holds a Certificate in Sports Counseling. Rachel returns to her mat time and time again seeking freedom, as well as the immense wisdom and connection that this ancient practice lends.
